The Department of BCA in CHMM college commenced in September 2009. The course comes under the choice based credit and semester scheme of the first degree program of the Kerala university. The syllabus covers various basics and advancement of computer science and its applications in programming, networking, graphics and other emerging fields. The department of BCA in CHMM College is a centre of excellence in computer science, keeping pace with the growing demands in the changing scenario in the field of IT, and provides quality education to the students.
Facilities
We have fully equipped, air conditioned lab for BCA with more than sufficient computer systems for the effective conduct of lab classes. Students are also provided with internet facility in the lab for subject references. We have a library which has the finest collections of latest books on IT and supportive learning. We also have a placement cell assisted by teachers proficient in training the students to face campus interviews confidently.
Faculty
All the faculty members in BCA department are well qualified and experienced having remarkable skills in training the students in tune with the emerging technological revolution. Lab classes are conducted by experienced lab instructor keen in helping the students to improve their programming skills.
Extra curricular activities
Students are also encouraged to participate in cultural events, sports and in club activities according to their interests and talent. We have women’s club, literary club, science club, music club, performing arts club etc in CHMM college as a platform for the students to exhibit their talents.
